    nTrustus, in consortia with MyCareSpace, has received a $500,000 grant from the Australian Government (represented by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission) to develop a digital solution for NDIS participants and providers to connect and achieve better communication and early resolution of issues and complaints.

    Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) announced the winners of the Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Financing of Terrorism Hackathon 2023 which included Verifier, who won the public sector category. The Hackathon attracted over 660 participants from 140 teams, representing more than 20 countries from the Asia-Pacific region.

    "Participants comprising regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies, financial institutions, private entities and undergraduate students competed to develop prototypes of innovative digital tools to combat financial crimes. During the Hackathon, workshops coupled with mentoring sessions by 30 technology and AML/CFT experts were conducted to guide, equip and motivate the participants."

    The Australia-UK Free Trade Agreement (A-UK FTA) entered into force today on 31 May 2023. The agreement removes tariffs on over 99% of Australian goods exported to the UK.

    The RegTech Association member Decision through Holistic Intelligence who has received almost $1m AUD through the Regulatory Technology round of the Business Research and Innovation Initiative (BRII) grant. 

    The BRII is a government program sponsored by the Department of Industry, Science, and Resources (DISR). and the RegTech Round aims to assess the potential of RegTech to solve challenges across government agencies and departments to assist with easier compliance and service delivery.

    The five successful businesses have 15 months to complete their prototype or POC and consider how they can scale up and broaden their application.
